Notes:
- New Coming Soon and Active status listings in the MLS will appear in Realist after 48 to 72 hours.
- New recorded documents (i.e., Lis Pendens, ownership transfers) will appear in Realist within approximately 45 days of recording date.
On 10/1/2024, Act 187 went into effect in the State of Hawaii that requires the redaction of images. This has caused a delay in the vendor providing CoreLogic with Hawaii transaction data so they can ensure to handle the affected records properly and accurately to be in compliance with this Act.
The BOC has up to 45 days to release documents after they have done the proper corrections. This will be the new normal in Hawaii; the transactions will continue to have about a 45-day lag so the BOC can review the transaction documents.

On October 1, 2024, Hawaii's Act 187 took effect, introducing new requirements for the redaction of public information or images. Act 187 grants public servants with decision-making authority, such as judges – the right to remove their personal information from public records, aimed at reducing potential risks of retaliation from disgruntled individuals.
As a result, Realist® has notified HiCentral MLS that Hawai'i transaction data updates will be delayed up to 45 days, to ensure compliance with the new law. The most recent recording date available in Realist® is September 30, 2024.
How to check how current sales are in Realist:
Select “Change County” at the top left of the Realist Search page. The most current recording date that is updated in Realist shows by each county.
