Can I leave the Region and Neighborhood data fields blank in my listing?
No. Missing and incorrect data will affect listing searches. When other members are searching listings in that Region and/or Neighborhood, your listing will not be in the search results.
Region and Neighborhood data fields are auto-filled by Matrix after you input the TMK.
The auto-filled data is based on the Oahu Neighborhood List. You can access this list via Matrix, in the LINKS tab.
- When the two fields are blank, it means that the data is not in the Oahu Neighborhood List.
- When the auto-filled data does not match your property documents, it means that particular neighborhood does not match the information in the Oahu Neighborhood List.
Whenever there is a discrepancy
- Double check the TMK # to make sure it's correct. To verify the TMK #, you can access the Honolulu Tax Records via Matrix, in the LINKS tab.
- If the TMK is correct, then please notify the MLS Client Care Team via email as soon as your new Active listing appears on the Hot Sheet.

- In the email - Specify the name of the correct Neighborhood and provide the supporting details.
To prevent your listing from being reported, please add this verbiage to the Agent Remarks section -
"The Neighborhood and Region data was not auto-filled by Matrix. Pending research by the MLS."
Reminder: Once this discrepancy is resolved, be sure to remove this message from your remarks.
